Systems and Tools

One of the most common questions I am asked is ‘how do you do so many things’ or a variation of that is ‘how do you stay on top of everything’.  Well, my mind can juggle a lot of things at one time but without these it would be easy to drop a few balls:

  1. A strong network of colleagues and friends.  This is #1 for a very good reason.  This is the key to my success and I give to my community as well.

Online Tools

Doodle – we are ALL busy, but when I need to get more than me plus another person together this is absolutely the BEST way to find out when people are available. www.doodle.com

Gmail add-ons – it took me a while but once I began having all my email coming through my gmail, using filters and tags, my life has become so much easier – a big thank you to Rowan from Bellyfit International for the encouragement to switch over to this platform, and coaching me along the way.  What makes it even better is some of the add-ons that I have tried and use (there are some I have tried and erased too!).

  • Boomerang – gone are the days (for the most part) of when I would work until all hours of the night, but there is the odd time when I can’t sleep, or I’m waiting at the airport in the wee hours of the morning – with Boomerang, you can send up to 10 messages ‘into the future’ for free, and after that it’s reasonable to purchase monthly or annual packages.
  • Inbox Pause – incoming email could distract me all day but with this handy add-on I can have email delivered at the times that I want to receive it.  When I’m not getting constant messages delivered to me, I can stay focused on the task at hand.  inboxpause.com
