Carly Greene Hill received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria in 2014, graduating with a Double Major in Psychology and Women’s Studies. She was awarded the Jamie Cassels Undergraduate Research Award during her last year of studies. Her research focused on food accessibility and sustainability on the Island. Her goals are to pursue her Master’s in Counseling Psychology. It’s been her passion to be involved in community, and create new opportunities for others where possible. While she is working towards her goal, she can be found at several places in Victoria. You may see her at: lululemon athletica, executing the store’s sustainability initiatives and community fundraisers; supplying breakfast at Jam Café; serving beers at Phillips Brewery and most recently, taking on the role of Volunteer Coordinator for TEDx Victoria 5. As of late, she is thrilled to be working towards her 300 Hour Registered Yoga Training and hopes to find an intersection between her love of people, education, yoga and writing. Carly’s poetry is an acknowledgment of her own path. In expressing her poetry, she aims to remind audiences of their own inner light, and connection to one another.
