Who doesn’t love a good green smoothie in the morning! I’ve been up early Monday through Wednesday this week and didn’t want to blend and disturb the household, so this morning I was very excited not just by the prospect of a smoothie but that I could add spinach from our deck garden (lovingly planted and tended, and picked for me by my sweetie). I actually look out on this and all the other herbs and veggies we are growing from my home office. I’ve never had a greener smoothie!
My smoothie today included almond milk, a banana, frozen strawberries and pineapple, along with fresh spinach and kale, protein powder and some TriPow Greens (a mix of spirulina and chlorella) that I picked up at the Old Strathcona Farmer’s Market the last time I was there (definitely visit this if you are in Edmonton on a Saturday).
